Alice Krauss graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from the University of North Florida. Alice has over 30 years of experience leading teams to serve patients, their families and the community as both a clinician and manager with Brooks Rehabilitation. She developed the occupation-based Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program as a healthcare innovation in 2007 in response to an unmet need in the disability community for the social connection and physical activity that promote health, well-being, and quality of life. The Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation program was named a Program of Excellence by the Hospital Charitable Services Awards sponsored by Jackson Healthcare in 2016. The Hospital Charitable Service Awards recognize exemplary hospital-sponsored community programs for their innovative approaches to impacting lives in local communities.
