Matthew C. Rill, MD
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Telescope Health
Dr. Rill currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Telescope Health, a privately-owned mobile healthcare application launched in 2019 that allows users to immediately see a board-certified physician for a variety of urgent and primary care needs. Less than one year later, Dr. Rill helped to launch Northeast Florida’s first COVID-19 community test site in partnership with the City of Jacksonville and Baptist Health.
Dr. Rill has a passion for improving patient care and clinical satisfaction through lean processes, better workflows, and system connections. Prior to co-founding Telescope Health, Dr. Rill served as medical director of several sizable emergency departments, leading his teams to achieve patient experience scores in the 95th percentile, as well as developing new patient flow models that exceeded national benchmarks in patient throughput. In 2015, Dr. Rill assisted in implementing the patient-centered “HUB model,” winning the Florida Hospital Associations’ Innovation of the Year in Patient Care Award.
A resident of Jacksonville Beach, Dr. Rill enjoys beach days with family and surfing when the waves permit.
Matthew Thompson, MD
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer for Telescope Health
Dr. Thompson currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Telescope Health, a privately-owned mobile healthcare application launched in 2019 that allows users to immediately see a board-certified physician for a variety of urgent and primary care needs. Less than one year later, Dr. Thompson was integral to the success of Northeast Florida’s first COVID-19 community test site, launched in partnership with the City of Jacksonville and Baptist Health.
Dr. Thompson’s deep interest in technology led him to complete an ultrasound fellowship during his time as Chief Resident at the University of Arizona where he implemented a multi-departmental ultrasound billing and cloud-based workflow for a major emergency physician staffing group. His natural inclination for pairing technology with medicine lead him to the emerging field of telehealth, where he co-founded Telescope Health to provide patients with a platform to virtually navigate and seamlessly connect a variety of healthcare needs.
A proud Jacksonville Beach resident, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter outside of work, staying active and playing guitar and piano.
